Training for The Imara Lake District Challenge...

As you may already know, an amazing team of Imara supporters and staff are tackling a 22 mile hike around the Lake District. In a challenge which is predicted to take them over nine hours, our team will climb Hellvelyn and tackle the Striding Edge, all to raise money for Imara.

Our team have been practising in the stunning countryside of the Peak District, famous for its scenic landscapes and hiking routes. We’re enormously proud and thankful for all of the hard training they’ve been doing in preparation, so thought we’d share with you their progress!

Below are some of the amazing photographs that they have come back with:

They’ve been lucky with the weather during their practices; we’re hoping they’ll be just as lucky for the real thing!

Taking in the natural beauty of the Peak District – plus some natural flora (and fauna!):

They've completed upto 15 miles in their practice walks; just another 7 miles to go!

Our amazing team will be taking on the real thing on the 30th June, so there is still time to show your appreciation for all the hard work they’re doing. You can donate on our LocalGiving page below; please share the link too on Facebook or Twitter!

All donations are truly appreciated by the entire team, and all of us at Imara; it enables us to continue to be there for the children and young people that we support. That is the reason that our team are challenging themselves to such a gruelling task and - why Imara exists.

All that is left to say is good luck and a massive thank you to everybody challenging themselves to our Lake District Challenge – we’re sure you’ll smash it!
